Hangzhou Rail Transit

Project reference from BIOSUN’s Chinese website. Network figures, organizational descriptions and dated plans reflect the original case entry.

Hangzhou Metro Group was established in June 2002 as a state-owned enterprise responsible for rail construction, operations, management and property development. The original profile reported registered capital of RMB 54.16 billion, an operating branch, wholly owned development and engineering subsidiaries, and interests in more than ten other companies, including Hangzhou MTR Line 5.

The original profile described a near-term network plan of 516 kilometers. At the time of that entry, the operating network totaled 323 kilometers, covering Lines 1 and 2, parts of Lines 4, 6, 7, 8 and 9, Line 5 and Line 16. It listed approximately 193 kilometers under construction across additional lines and extensions, including the airport express, and set out a historical target for a 12-line, 516-kilometer network ahead of the Asian Games.

BIOSUN provides air treatment solutions for rail transit. Its Chinese project profile reports experience across more than 100 rail projects in China and overseas, with applications addressing airborne microorganisms, particles, chemical gases and emissions from interior materials in occupied transport environments.

Applications cover train interiors, platforms, station halls and public restrooms. BIOSUN applies PHOTOPLASMA technology to selected microbial, gaseous and particulate air treatment requirements. Performance should be assessed against the equipment specifications, relevant test reports and operating conditions.
